Going from a BMI of 41.8 (Obese) to a BMI of 24.9 (Normal) (283lbs to 168.5lbs)

I’m not sure how that is possible.  I don’t think I’ve weighed in the 160lb range for 25+ years.

I am trying going to get my weight down to the 180 and I know that will take a long time.  What defines a long time? That is a good question I can’t answer.

What I can tell you is that based on my starting weight of 283lbs on June 24th, 2011 to today, July 16th I have lost 16lbs which means if I continue on this then I will able to do it in 140 days give or take.  Around  Thanksgiving I will be down to that weight.

The hardest things to give up has been ice cream, pop, guacamole, cheese dip and chips.  I could polish of a 12oz package of guacamole and 3/4 a bag of chips in one setting.

I’ve cut down, but it is hard.  3-4 tbls of guacamole and 40 to 60 chips doesn’t sound like much. It doesn’t look like much either.  I still get to enjoy the taste without increasing the waist.

As for the pop, Coke being my drug of choice, Diet.  Not sure that is the answer but for now it is okay.  Ice Cream and cheese dip, cut them out.

Lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, some dairy, some fish & chicken, rarely red meat.  Exercise!  That’s it!

180ish lbs here I come!
